1. Nature of Service

Kaagzaat (namechange.org.in) is an independent legal facilitation platform operated by certified documentation advocates. We are not a government agency, nor do we represent ourselves as the Department of Publication, Government of India. Our service consists of drafting legal affidavits, scheduling newspaper classified ads, compiling technical dossiers (including CD softcopies), and tracking applications through the statutory publication process.

2. Official Government Fees

Statutory publication fees (e.g., ₹1,100 for adult name change, ₹1,700 for minors) are paid directly to the Government of India via the official Bharatkosh Non-Tax Receipt Portal (bharatkosh.gov.in) under the Controller of Publications. Our professional service fees are charged separately for legal drafting, media coordination, and liaison.

3. Applicant Authenticity & Truthfulness

The applicant confirms under oath that all personal information, IDs, and declarations provided are authentic, true, and not intended to evade criminal prosecution, civil debt, or fraudulent misrepresentation. Any attempt to submit forged or tampered documents will result in immediate cancellation of services and potential statutory reporting.

4. Publication Timelines

While Kaagzaat expedites drafting and submission within 2 to 5 business days, the final release date of the Gazette of India is under the sovereign discretion of the Controller of Publications, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. Standard Department processing takes approximately 20 to 35 business days.
